"The global COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted organizations and the people employed w...ithin them. Perhaps no sector of the economy has been greater hit than that of tourism. In this 75-minute session, we will: (a) discuss current human resource challenges experienced by participants and the broader economy; (b) examine current trends in the area of recruitment and retention of employees; and (c) start the dialogue concerning creative human resource practices as the sector prepares for the future." - Dr. Travor Brown, Ph.D This will be an important discussion for the tourism community as you move forward with planning for 2022. Cooking with Katie: We really miss all our customers and are really excited to begin online cooking classes. Katie will be holding a Zoom class this Wednesday 2...4th Feb @ 6.30 pm (Newfoundland time) She will be preparing and baking Soft Pretzels with Dipping Sauce. The recipe is great snack for kids and adults and is especially handy for those who don’t have the time or patience to wait for the dough to rise. This first class will be offered at a discount rate of $20 including the recipe and access to a full replay of the class. Please email [email protected] to reserve your place. After booking, 2 days prior to the class a recipe, ingredient list and a list of kitchen utensils and supplies to have on hand. The zoom link and password will be sent out a few hours prior to the class. Katie will be offering more classes in the near future focusing on the menu style of Bonavista Social Club. We are still doing curbside pickup! Listed below are the specifics: - Hours will be 10am to 4pm. Monday to Friday. - Payment by credit card only. Visa Debit is ...not a credit card and will not work with our POS system. Sorry for any inconvenience! - Call 7094682773 and you will be provided a cell number to text your order to. NO PICTURES OF ORDERS PLEASE! - Break your order down by department : Produce, Deli, meat, frozen, dairy and grocery etc. - We will call you when it is ready and you can provide your air miles number and credit card number. Orders MUST be picked up immediately as we do not have a lot of freezer and cooler space. - Let us know when you are outside the store and a clerk will place your order in your trunk. It has to be no contact to protect you and our staff so groceries have to go in the trunk or box of your truck. This is new for us so we will see how it goes for a week and reevaluate at the end of the week. The store will be open for regular business and continue to limit the number of customers. We will not be doing deliveries. Thank you and be safe!
