PYO is prime right now for the next week or so - time to do your picking while the picking is great! Sooner is better then later with all of this heat! Open 8-8 weekdays and 8-5 weekends and holidays.

PYO strawberries has begun! Here’s everything you need to know before you head out to pick those sweet juicy beautiful berries! Mornings and weekends are our busiest times so to avoid the crowds afternoons and evenings are prime time to avoid lines. Open until 8pm on WEEKDAYS at our Buckhorn Berry Farm location. Last entrance to PYO half an hour before closing. No need to book a reservation or make an appointment - we’re focussing on opening as many distanced rows as possi...ble to allow you to harvest safely and quickly and get you to head home. Everyone must be able to follow all of our Covid-19 guidelines on our website. Please limit your group size when possible. Due to distancing we can only open up half of the amount of rows we normally would - that means we have less space at any given time. Limiting your group size means we can get EVERYONE in and out as fast as possible. We have two farms - our Buckhorn Berry farm location is where you’ll want to head for PYO. You can park at the store and take a distanced tractor ride OR you can drive PAST the store entrance and follow the signs to park and pick in the field. Our McLean Berry Farm location is where you want to go for prepicked berries or online order pickups. We should be open daily for PYO strawberries now but it's always best to check the website or phone message before you come out to ensure picking is a go regardless! PYO strawberry price: 3.00/lb - about half the price of prepicked berries Prepicked Prices if you don't want to PYO: 6.50/L or 35.00/6L flat You can bring a standard weight clean container with you. Cardboard or plastic baskets or pails that are from our farms or other farms are perfeft. You can buy containers from us if you don't bring anything to pick into. Those range in price from 1.75-4.50 for the baskets and pails and you can reuse them year after year. To pay for your berries we take cash, debit and credit! Please remember to always maintain a distance from others, please wear a mask if possible, please wash and sanitize your hands, please wait until your home to eat. Please wash your berries right before using (Don’t wash in advance!). We’re able to open for our first day of PYO on Thursday! But in order to operate safely - we need your help! We need you to be patient. We need you to be kind. We need you to be understanding. We need you to follow our new rules. We need you to help keep everyone safe. ... We are having to change everything we’re doing - and it feels like a million things we’re having to change and modify in so many ways - it’s anything but easy. Our returning staff is a amazing. Our new staff is phenomenal. But we need you to give them some grace. We need some grace. We know it’s not gonna to be perfect. We have made a ton of changes - but we know there will be things we need to change. We know that we’ll figure more of it out as time goes on. We know it’s going to be a huge adjustment. We know that some of the guidelines (found here: http://mcleanberryfarm.com/pyo-guidelines/) are going to be difficult for everyone. But we’re asking you to follow them for the safety of yourself, our staff and our family. So that we can continue to be granted the opportunity to operate and allow you to harvest this year. Please limit your group size so that everyone has space to pick safely. Please wait until you’re home to enjoy your berries. Please keep your distance from staff and guests. It won’t be long until bowls of these beauties are gracing tables! We’re finishing up our Covid-19 protocols and procedures and we’ll be opening up our farm stores, PYO and bringing these beauties to market very soon with all sorts of changes in place to keep you safe while you buy and harvest the best berries of the season!
