Just some more updates after a weekend of activity. Hopefully there are fewer mosquitoes and black flies next time!

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING BEAR We wanted to warn everyone that there is a young black bear roaming the campground. It has been coming around almost daily! It has not been aggressive, but has been getting pretty curious and brave. It has been caught going through garbage and is getting very close to a few trailers and the house. We have contacted the Ministry of Wildlife. They have advised that it is probably about 18 months old and has just left its mother. Like all teena...gers just testing its boundaries. As long as it does not feel threatened, it will not be aggressive. They have said that as long as it does not find a food source it should leave our grounds shortly. If however it finds food (garbage, pet food) it will keep coming back and get more and more brave. So we must be EXTRA careful with our food and recyclables. Garbage: all garbage must be put in the green bear proof bin or keep in your trailer. DO NOT keep in sheds, outside storage bins or mesh enclosures. Bird Feeders: they are to be taken down until further notice BBQ: empty the grease traps after use and ensure that you burn off all food from grill. DO NOT leave dirty cooking utensils around Pet Food: keep pet food in your trailer. DO NOT keep in sheds, outside storage bins or mesh enclosures. Pets: do not let your dogs outside unattended. Children: Please watch children and warn them of the bear. Let them know what to do in case of seeing him Thank you for your calm and cooperation. I'm sure he will move on soon!

The water is rising but we heard that everything is still safe at the Campground. We sadly lost the "Fawn House" to heavy snow this winter. Looking forward to getting up there early May to get things ready to open up! Summer is coming!

Tunes with no mosquitoes!

Come and enjoy some outdoor music this Tuesday July 17th starting at 7pm. Bring your own lawn chair and cooler. If you play an instrument....bring it. We are located at 146 Delaware Lane, Sprucedale and Area Community Events in the beautiful region of Almaguin Highlands Tourism.
