BYD and CMDL are working with B-Craft in Belgium to build their first Akoya hull. The Direct to Mould build method developed at CMDL is a much quicker way of ...prototyping a concept and it has taken only a matter of weeks to get to join up phase. Although there is still more work to do before the hull is complete, this method overall will save roughly 30% over conventional plug builds.
