Today, Premier Scott Moe elected to self isolate after a potential exposure to Covid-19 at a restaurant in Prince Albert. It is reported Premier Moe, after receiving the recommendation from Public Health, will be in self isolation until November 29th. It is likely the Premier and his family were following all public health restrictions including masking and social distancing while visiting the establishment. If these regulations were being strictly followed, then we can pres...ume the Premier would not have had a close contact and there shouldn’t be any concern. However, if these restrictions were followed, and the Premier was still exposed, is it fair to say that these regulations including masking, social distancing, forcing small businesses to follow crippling regulations, government overreach into private dwellings, establishment curfews etc. are not working? If they are working, why has the unavoidable second wave shown up right on schedule just as predicted in early spring? All this and not one flu case. What is the end game? Is it absolute zero covid cases? Is it another complete lockdown? Is it a vaccine? If the new restrictions we receive weekly are having no impact, then why are we not free to move and make our own choices about our health? These are questions for you to ask. We went from two weeks in March to flatten the curve to a 5 person maximum in our own homes. We wish the Premier and his family well and a speedy recovery if he or any of them should develop the virus.

The common Canadian sentiment is I’m not surprised and nothing happens to them anyways. We have a voice. We are in control of our future. We want to assure you that this was not only a strategic decision, but also a case of too little time and too few candidates coming forward. We would also like to assure you that our pl...an, moving forward, is to run a full 61 candidates in the next election. With that being said, we need your help in accomplishing this goal. We need you to become members, we need you to get involved on the constituency level, and we need you to help us find qualified candidates moving forward. We will be building constituency associations. We will have a convention, and we will have a member ratified constitution, policies, and platform.
