So many problems everywhere. It is deeply saddening. Amidst the heaviness, I continue to look for possibility, it is simply my nature and it is what keeps me hopeful, strong and healthy. I dig deeper so that I can create and still serve at this time, because well, my job was completely and immediately rocked by this pandemic as well. ... Thankfully I can develop myself online although I have never used PowerPoint or any of those other fancy ( to me ) tools. I didn’t even know where to find PP on my computer! If you are wondering from what rock did I climb out from under, it's called the gym where I spent the last 23 years building myself and my career. Now that I am past that technological growth spurt, I can think again and observe: what do people need right now? Sitting in the problem box otherwise known as the blame frame, is just not comfortable anymore. It produces anxiety, frustration and mental angst. It also takes up so much energy to be in conflict with ourselves constantly. Precious beautiful and finite energy. It’s exhausting really. So how do we step out of the problem box and into possibility? 1) asking the right questions 2) the right amount of hope 3) the right kind of help The journey of moving out of the problem box and stepping into possibility begins with one powerful and compelling thought which becomes the motivation you need to move you Reset with Yvette #onlineprogram starts February 13 #smallgroup Proudly presenting this updated version which is unlike any other fitness program out there . #coaching #fitness #nextlevel #digdeepfirst #unique #realdealresults #fitnessprogram #mindsettraining #uniqueexperience #wisdom #bodywisdom #results #hopeishere #helpishere

That’s easy for you to say ! My client says to me point blank as we stand face to face on the gym floor. Me with clipboard in hand and her wearing a baggy t-shirt with fixed eyes reflecting all her pain. I was in shock. I felt the ripple of her resentment run through my whole body masking the deeper hurt that I was feeling in that moment, by her statement. It wasn’t just what she said, but it was how she said it. ... I don’t even remember what we were talking about in that moment to trigger this comment, all I remember was how it made me feel. But of course she assumed it was all easy for me. She wasn’t there when I cried myself to sleep from the shame and confusion of disliking my body shape at the tender age of 13. She wasn’t there in the room with me when I attended my first weight watchers meeting at 15 years old feeling so afraid and vulnerable. She wasn’t there when I had a nervous breakdown at 19 years old due to over-exercising, crying in a heap of despair in my mothers arms at the bottom of the basement stairs. She wasn’t there when I invested my first and only thousand dollars in a correspondence course to obtain my personal training certificate, so that I can learn about doing it the healthy way. So that I could eventually help her do it the healthy way. She didn’t see those parts of me that got me there that day standing on the gym floor with her. She didn’t accept all the reasons why I was the one standing there with the clipboard that day and she was the one wearing the baggy t-shirt, just like I used to do. Maybe she was right. Maybe it was easy for me to say in that moment, but ONLY after so many years and plenty of tears. I’m not here to make it sound easy. I’m hear to tell you that the work is worth it, and so are you #personaltrainer #mystory #mynervousbreakdown #myteachers #trainhardfighteasy #fitnessjourney #weightwatchers

The most common reasons why people hire a personal trainer are not what you think I’ve been paying attention to this for over 20 years and it still amazes ( and absolutely delights) me to know the deeper reasons why people come to me. Frankly, it’s my favourite part. It’s the piece that sticks. It is why I have a devoted client base, because our reasons for training evolve with their deeper needs. Program design is a given. That is most basic and bare bones service that I... offer. In fact I barely design and sell programs anymore because the information is not enough. It is a disservice to them to not offer them the most important piece. Heck you can research and print out the most scientifically proven or best trendy workout routine off the internet. Information is free. But are you getting the results?? Why not??? Join me this Thursday evening at 7 pm and I will give you all the goods, for free Oh and show up ready to take notes because you are going to walk away with some nuggets Don’t miss this .... register for the link here https://us02web.zoom.us//tZMlcuGqqD4tH9CUroU4etFNqpCc6jwtB #personaltrainer #fitness #yourwhy #motivation #fitnessprogram #exercise #weightlossjourney #weightloss #reasons #sustainability #masterclass #freemasterclass

Greetings fellow seekers the missing piece in your fitness journey This chubby kid (me) became a troubled tween with body image issues ... When she completely transformed her body in her 20’s little did she know that it wouldn’t solve her feelings about her self worth. There were sooooo many painful points in this journey, In fact, it’s taken her a long time to even talk about it outside of her close circle. Fitness gave her hope but the industry itself caused so much confusion for an already delicate and emotional soul trying to find her way. I’m excited to start sharing more of my journey, as a result, helping more people on theirs. Not only have I observed and studied a whole lot as a trainer the last 20 years, I’ve also personally experienced it all myself, including the confusing and painful bits. Join me this Thursday evening at 7pm EST for what is the missing link in your fitness journey, straight from your friendly trainer Register below for the link. Let’s GO! https://us02web.zoom.us//tZMlcuGqqD4tH9CUroU4etFNqpCc6jwtB #fitness #health #wellness #mindset

What do these 2 documentaries have in common? I happened to watch one after the other and really enjoyed the back-to-back inspiration and storytelling. Both are real life stories about perseverance, playing life smart, having vision and sticking by your values. ... Clarence Avant is an incredibly revered business man known for his no-nonsense approach to negotiation. Life is all about numbers he says. His popularity and legendary status extends beyond the music industry into sports and politics. His approach is to connect people, build people and relationships based on trust and good will and to follow through on his word. Then I watched this true story about Bing Russell ( Kurt Russell’s father) and his independent baseball team that he built from the ground up in the 70’s. Incredible journey which demonstrates why you never count out the scrappy underdogs. Great story on building a team, growing the fan base and raising the visibility of the sport. Boxing can find inspiration from both these stories. We have some rebuilding to do once back in the arena here in Canada. Collaboration works. Community is key. #boxing #lifestories #business #building #fanbase #fightgame #strategy #backinthering #2021 #squaredcircle #bixingfans

I love what he is doing in the ring and am impressed with how he is managing his career outside the ring like him or not, he’s doing the work. Boxers are entrepreneurs. He’s working the social media hustle, building his fan base and making a case for his endorsements. He’s taking responsibility and ownership of his career.
