I stumbled on some old competition memories today... 1992 was the first Nationals I competed in. I won in 1998 and again in 1999. Success doesn’t happen over night. Progression requires commitment and dedication. Stay the course during this time we can’t train as a club. Your potential is still to be realized. Sensei Rob.

2 years flies by! Here’s me at the Karate Canada Summit in 2018, taking part in a coaching workshop for para athletes; helping demonstrate that Karate is for everyone.

Our 3rd annual ‘Karate in the park’ summer of training is drawing to a close in a few weeks. It has been a challenging one with COVID restrictions meaning getting inventive with drills and props to keep us socially distanced, especially with my hands-on and application based preference for teaching, but it was a testament to the motivation of our students that they showed up and trained through it. We’re missing a few of the team in these photos, but here’re some memories for the future... some of Tuesday’s videos to follow shortly.
