Harry has been at the st...ore since August 31st and although he has had a little bit of interest the families either haven’t followed up with us or were just not the perfect match for him. He is an approximately one year old male that is amazing with other cats, learning to like dogs and shy of small Children. Harry needs an indoor only home due to his timid nature. FOR ADOPTION: TONKA is a young fella looking for a fun forever family. Tonka is another kitty that came to us this fall gravely injured. He was found on the sid...e of the highway by some caring citizens and rushed to Babine Animal Hospital where it was quickly determined that he had a broken hind end. We are unsure if he was hit by a car or thrown from one, no matter the cause it was completely avoidable if humans had been looking out for him from day one. When no owners came forward for little Tonka we were contacted, he underwent surgery to place a pin to hold his femur together and moved into a NWAS foster home to physically and mentally recover. Now Tonka is 4.5 months old, physically healed, neutered (done at the same time as his pin removal surgery to prevent him from having yet another surgery down the road) and mentally ready for his forever family. Tonka walks with a slight limp on his hind end but it certainly doesn’t slow him down. This kitten just loves to run and play, he is going to provide his new home with endless entertainment. When his playful energy has been spent Tonka is a major cuddle bug and really enjoys being around his people. Tonka lived in foster care with two little boys aged 5 and 3, two large cat friendly dogs and three mature cats. We are happy to say he is very good with all of the above but could play a little rough for the three year old at times. We think a home aged 5+ will be the best bet for the little energizer bunny. Tonka seems very happy indoors so we are hoping for an indoor only home for this boy. Edit: the owner has been found! Yay! This dog was found wandering the highway towards Granisle. There is a tattoo in the ear, but unfortunately it could not be traced. If anyone knows who the owner is, please let us know. 778 642 3456.
