Bump and Glow- Montreal Doula Services 20.10.2021

Teamwork is at the centre of everything we do at Bump and Glow. For many of us, we worked independently for years with little to no formal support, hoping and praying that we would be able to be in 3 places at once or at least that stars would align and our clients would all choose their own days to give birth. Doula work is HARD TO PREDICT. It's like trying to plan for the most unpredictable event in life and that makes it really hard to do the work alone. ... It is also a heavy job in that we support other people's most intimate, intense, and emotional moments. That can take a toll on our own mental health and our emotions. The best way to make sure that we can take care of our clients is by taking care of ourselves. We rely on each other, we make sure the work is sustainable by creating schedules that work for us and our families, and we make sure to support each other so we can be our best. <3 I am so thankful to have the best team of doulas around and can't wait for you guys to get to know them better as we do some intros very soon! :)- XO Megan #teamwork #livingthedream #doulateam #doulas #doulasupport #montrealdoulas #postpartumsupport #birthsupport #doulalife #oncalllife #oncall #montrealmoms

Only a doula is a doula. If your friend, mother, sister, whoever ! will attend your birth as emotional support it does not mean they're your doula. I'm sure all industries face this sort of thing. Wedding photographers get told that a family member with a great camera will take photos instead. Friends who have a good computer will build a website for free. A cousin with a guitar will bring his band to the anniversary party. ... That's cool. It really is. But it's going to be a completely different experience. As long as you understand that, go for it! Doulas are trained, experienced birth support with a huge wealth of knowledge and information to support you during the process. Nobody else can do what we do, that's what makes us so special! #birthsupport #hireadoula #weddingphotography #coverband #websitedesign #hireaprofessional #pregnancyadvice #pregnancy #doulasupport #montrealdoula #bumpglow

Wondering when this baby is going to arrive? We know the feeling. Sure, you're full term at 37 weeks, but that doesn't mean you'll give birth anytime soon. It just means your baby is most likely going to be perfectly able to breathe and survive outside the womb without assistance. Your baby doesn't know the clock is ticking and that they're late to their own party. ... Did you know that most babies won't even arrive on their due date? (Only 4% do!) In fact, the most likely time to give birth is between 39 and 41 weeks (58% of babies arrive in that two week period around your actual due date) Expect to go beyond that circled date on your calendar. If you prepare for that, then maybe you'll be surprised if baby makes an early appearance. #duedates #induction #whereismybaby #40weekspregnant #overdue #pregnancy #firstbaby #givingbirth #whattoexpect #fulltermpregnancy #pastmyduedate #duedatedance #waitinggame #readytopop #genderreveal #everythingwillberevealed #induetime #getit #momjokes
