Her goal was more of a baby pink tone, and more symmetry on her top lip. I think we nailed it. :) .... . Lip blush is asemi-permanent treatment lasting on average 1-3 years. This treatments main goal is to enhance the natural shape of your lips. A more defined lip line will also automatically give your lips a fuller appearance, with the added bonus of symmetry and a soft tint of color once healed. . Lip blush can also give your lips up to 30% more volume that will last, unlike fillers. This procedure causes your body to naturally produce more collagen in the area which can lead to added fullness in some cases. It also helps to target lip wrinkles. I thought my client had lipstick on when she walked in! Amazing results after ONLY ONE session of color correction to eliminate her darker borders. She has only vitamin e on her lips. Please remember I use the term correction because we are performing a color "correction". Our goal is to lighten the cool (purple,blue,grey) undertones, giving the client an overall lighter more natural lip color. We do not use that term because there is anything wrong with her lips that nee...ds to be fixed. Some clients just desire a lighter, more neutral toned lip. . Second, this procedure should only be attempted by technicians who are highly experienced on lips. . And last but certainly not least, it is always important to manage your clients expectations when it comes to this procedure. There are risks involved, results are not guaranteed and you could need anywhere from 2-4 appointments to achieve a good, noticeable result. . Typically at the first appointment we will use a BRIGHT ORANGE, or warm red to cancel out the cool tone of the clients lips. Clients attempting color correction should expect to actually see their lips get darker before they get lighter. 6 weeks later, depending on how the client heals we will do another session of orange or begin adding color to the lip. Some technicians feel that this type of lip isn't a candidate for lip blush. I believe it can be, as long as you are managing your clients expectations properly and informing them of all the risks.
