[ SoccerLaff ] A.I. (artificial intelligence) gone wrong -- during a match, a "smart" automated video camera, that's supposed to automatically follow the gameball, keeps shifting it's attention to the AR ;-p
Unfortunately this year of CoronaVirus/COVID-19, the 2020 edition of the BGSC Annual Remembrance Day tournament did not take place. We hope everyone is staying safe & crossing fingers for a tourney in 2021. Belatedly, this was our post on Twitter...

BC Coastal Soccer League game play resumes this coming weekend. Some teams may have been "re-cohorted" to obey the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) rules prohibiting persons (thus teams) travelling between the Fraser Health & Vancouver Health Authority regions. After Nov 23rd the BCCSL may make adjustments appropriate to the current PHO rules. Your BGSC coach/manager should be able to provide up-to-date info concerning your team's practices & upcoming game schedules. [Addendu...m] From the CITY OF BURNABY to Outdoor Sports Users: ---cut-here--- "Dear Sports User Groups, [deletia] Spectators are permitted, however, the Provincial Health Officer is recommending to discourage or limit spectators for outdoor sports events. The 2 meter physical distancing guidelines remain in effect between non-household individuals attending as spectators. ---cut-here---
Burnaby Girls Soccer Club is sad to report the passing of one of BC's Soccer icons - Tony Waiters. "The game of soccer in BC and Canada has lost a true giant in Tony Waiters, who was as successful on the field, as he was generous with his time off it. An advocate for the game and particularly the development of children, Tony was an early champion of making field and goal sizes smaller for younger players, so that they could get more touches and have more fun in their critical early years. Through his company World of Soccer his Byte Size Coaching methodologies and resources are still used by coaches of young players across the globe."
Burnaby Central Secondary School alumnus Alphonso Davies
Games cancelled for Sunday Nov 8... [This *may* be related to recent Provincial Health Officer COVID-19 advisories... stay tuned]
