Burnt Offerings

Three orders for Christmas, this is great being as I can’t do any markets this year. Plus I can increase my inventory in preparation for next year, any ideas?

Do you realize that in 7 weeks and 3 days it will be Christmas! Do you have someone on your list that is hard to buy for (I’m sure everyone does), why not order a unique, one of a kind pyrography piece? I burn boxes, plates, serving utensils, cheese boards, oars, rectangular, round or oval pieces of different sizes and just about anything wood. The pictures can be a wide variety of things, whatever you can dream up is possible or if you have a photo of an object you would like reproduced then that can be done too. I would love to be able to do this for you, just let me know, but don’t leave it too long because time is flying by and Christmas is just around the corner.

Here is the burning finished and the photo of Cody that I went from. I sat the picture on a shelf across the room for a week or so to decide if it was finished or not, then I made a couple of minor adjustments and he is ready to go. I’m pleased and hope the owner is too.

As you can see there is more definition around the jaw line and second ear. With a white dog it is hard to put emphasis on an area because then it looks like a light brown dog. But it is amazing at just how many shades there are in white.

I start to like the work once the eyes are in, then he starts coming to life.
