Saturday evening update. Yahoo they have changed the status of the fire to being held. So we had a sprinkle of rain today...enough to wet the ground....was better than nothing and a whole lot better than 32 and a stiff wind blowing.

Saturday morning update.. So I called in to the forestry information line and she just called back a bit ago. The fire has not increased in size..That's a biggie.. They just about have the perimeter done. There was no flames this morning just smoke. Now all this could change if the wind picks up but so far it looks good.

Friday evening update. Well not official but heard that they have the fire 70% contained. Went for a drive to a spot I know and all i think I saw was a bit of smoke. The wind died down about 4.30 this afternoon and so Im thinking that helped. Forestry still has it listed as out of control so we are not out of the dark yet. Need some rain

Friday noon update. I talked with forestry this morn. The fire overnight has grown to 93 hec. It has been traveling North West ....away from us..The wind is shifting here quite a bit and picking up.. So now we have the choppers, at least 5 bombers. cats , at least 1 track vehicle with water, 60 men on the ground.

Hey all, So we have a fire burning about 8k west of the lake. At this time Forestry is saying there is no danger to us. As soon as I hear anything I will post to this page.
