As a counsellor, I find one of the most difficult things for all humans is to let go. According to the Serenity prayer used in most 12-step programs, we are to ask our Higher Power for the wisdom to know the difference between what we can change and what we cannot. We are encouraged to change the things we can and to let of the things we can't. What does let go even mean?

People come to counselling for a variety of reasons. Individuals who have not completed a grieving or mourning process, or those who have lost their direction and need to rebuild sources of significance; those who are in transition; those who are dealing with different life stages or those experiencing emotional dissonance, and those dealing with trauma and abuse are welcome to call for a consultation.
