A change is being made to how patients book appointments for outpatient blood collections within Nova Scotia Health Authority’s Western Zone. Starting June 15, appointments for blood collections in Western Zone can be booked using one toll-free number: 1-833-998-2722 call between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon. to Fri.... This single toll-free telephone number will eliminate the need for some patients to call long-distance. It will also put callers in a queue to be answered sequentially, so people will not get a busy signal, which may happen with the current process. Blood collections for NSHA Western Zone can currently be booked for the following sites: -Annapolis Community Health Centre -Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton -Eastern Kings Memorial Health Centre (EKM), Wolfville -Western Kings Memorial Health Centre (WKM), Berwick

For patient safety, to continue social distancing practices and reduce the risk of transmission of the COVID19 virus we will attempt to resolve your medical issue over the telephone. Patients with symptoms concerning for COVID19 are directed to be seen at an alternate site so that the risk to patients in office is minimized. If you require an in office appointment arrangements have been made to prevent exposure to other patients.
