Lots of times, our dog’s messages get lost in translation. Because we don’t speak the same language, we need to become close observers of our dogs. By learning ...what they’re trying to communicate we can improve our relationships immensely. Are any of these translations new to you? www.ignoremydog.com

One more reason we do not use or recommend the "gentle leader or other harnesses that come across the dogs face. Here is the vascular system in a canine head. T...his highlights the enormous amount of blood flow in the dogs nose. This blood flow serves many purposes, fuels the scent chambers, aids in temperature regulation, allows dogs to effectively track, but this also makes the dogs nose incredibly sensitive to touch. This is the main reason you should not use face harnesses. There are plenty of tools designed to communicate with dogs that do not put pressure on one of their most sensitive features. Happy Pawlidays from us at Burton's Country Cockers!!! We hope all the pups in 2021 get lots of snuggles, belly rubs, and peanut butter!! Also have you ever tried getting 3 pups to sit still? Very chaotic!! The only reason they are there is for the treats, and it goes somewhat like this.... Once you get 2 sitting, the 3rd one refuses to sit. Then you get them all in a row and there is ugly, dried up sunflowers in the background cause thats just the angle they ended up at. One sticks their tounge out at the wrong time, another decides their butt is cuter than their face. By now one of the girls is really, really cold and they've all had too many treats!! Just another day over here!! Happy puppy tails to you all!!! (BTW this is the face of the dog mom who runs this crazy show, thank you all for being here!!!)

Mom: Did either of you guys on the kitchen floor? Oliver & Bryndi both trying their best to look sweet and innocent. Ps. They both are innocent. Some other little girl did the unthinkable.

Hello Cocker Friends!!! I want to tell you the story of a little girl who made a long journey to find her home. Months ago at the begining of summer her mamma found her and said she would take her home to Canada. Meanwhile in the world there was much sickness and it became very hard to find a way for her to come to Canada. This little girl lived over the ocean and travel needed to be just perfect. Finally when the leaves started turning color and the nights got colder a plan ...worked out and this little princess was soon on her way to her mamma. It was sad for her to leave her home she came from as it was all she knew the 8 months of her life. She traveled by car to a nice ladies place who took care of her and let her sleep. Then the next day when it was dark the nice lady took her to meet some more new people. The lady sent this little girls momma a picture and said she was on her way to the airport and it would be 500 miles untill she was there. The road was bumpy and long but soon this little girl fell asleep not knowing what this all meant. The next morning she traveled by air to another country where she then sat for hours wondering what was next. People would give her food and water so she was comfy but why am I stuck in here she would think? Next she knew, she was put on a big airplane again. She flew over the big wide ocean for hours and hours. Finally they came down and landed in a big, loud, busy city. Then a kind man came and said hi. He talked nicely to her and took her away. The man had some little humans with him. What did this mean? Are these my new humans??? Where is my mamma?? No this didn't feel like home yet. Also these people slept at weird hours when she should be chasing squirrels and playing with her toys. The next morning the kind man took her and let her go again. Off she flew to another strange place. When is this going to end she thought? I just want somebody to give me some cuddles and belly rubs. Finally when the sun was soon to go down she was brought into a big big building. Then someone took her crate and brought her thru some big doors. There were two nice people standing there looking really happy. Could this be home? She noticed the lady had tears running down her face. Why is she sad? Next thing the lady opened the crate door and started saying nice things to her. Who is this lady?? Next thing this little fur ball knew she was being picked up. The lady took her and held her. She hugged her and cried some more. But why is she sad??? I must make this better she thought so she tried kissing her face. Then the nice lady smiled and she knew THIS was her momma!! She also knew those were happy tears. This little girl is home now with her new Mamma, and Bryndi, Oliver, and Burton. Meet Jasmine (aka Jazz)

Hey a little story for you! Meet Jazz! (Short for Jasmine) Back in the beginning of summer we became the happy owners of this beautiful girl! She comes from a faraway land, across the sea. Covid came along and messed things up for us with bringing her home. She is 7 months old and we want her to come home so bad. It has turned into a large challenge to find suitable situation to work for her travel over to America. There is always one road block after another.... Currently we feel like we have finally found something that might work. We will find out tomorrow if she is coming home soon. Stay tuned for update on her! #bringjazzhome
