Hello my sweet little persimmons! Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I will be unable to bake this coming week, and potentially the next. I’ve had a few questions lately about the beeswax wraps, so let’s chat! What are they? They are pieces of fabric coated in beeswax to use as an alternate to plastic wrap or Ziploc bags. Why do you sell them? I love the idea of a reusable solution to plastic bags for my bread and to participate in a waste reduction strategy. Can it go in the freezer? You bet! Just allow it to warm for a few minutes before opening so you don’t crack it. ... How do you clean it? Cool water, and soap if you need. DONT use hot water; you’ll melt the wax off? What else do I need to know? It keeps a loaf fresh on my counter for up to 5 days after baking, so I just slice off as needed and on Sunday evenings, I’ll slice whatever is left and pop it in the freezer. Have you ever used a beeswax food wrap?

Another Tuesday, another oven full of delicious bread! Feeling grateful to be somewhere warm (and yummy smelling) on a day like today. Have a safe week everyone, and stay cozy! Deliveries will be out tomorrow.
