These girls have always had their Christmas "Tree-t" inside the barn, until yesterday. First year ever that they are still on pasture past December. Might have to lock them in soon though... Lol!

Well...Looks like we have just committed ourselves to a lot of gardening hours come summertime! LOL! Seed orders have been made, lots of new (to us) veggies this year. Girls requested snap peas, broccoli and I'm trying a different variety of peppers and some Brussel sprouts for a change. Rutabaga, turnips and corn have been really tough veggies to grow for me but this is going to be my year!! 2021 here we come! <3 We shopped local...and if you want to as well you can check out Incredible Seeds and Annapolis Seeds online. Both businesses are in Nova Scotia.

Went for a walk in the woods and came out with a little extra...Usnea. It's also known as "old man's beard", do you use this in your home? The branches are for wreath making tomorrow! <3

It's getting pretty soggy outside...BUT we got 8 eggs today, that's a record! :)

Caught her in the act! The infamous blue egg layer. :). One of the barred rock hens was pestering her, so she stood up as soon as she laid it.
