A massive shout out to everyone who has shown their love and support towards Sergeant Andrew Harnett’s family. For those who don’t know, Sgt Harnett was truly an upstanding Canadian citizen. From starting his career defending our country as a Military Police officer, he transitioned his journey into the Calgary Police department. Sadly on the night of December 31st 2020 he was killed in the line of duty. This devastated the nation and right away... @wireddifferently.co reached out to a bunch of veteran and 911 organizations to start a fundraiser for the family. So with every purchase of a Sheep Dog shirt or Sgt. A. Harnett decal you automatically enter into a draw to win an autographed Don Cherry jersey. We have other prizes from other organizations to be won as well. There is still time but will be closing the fundraiser March 31st 2021. 100% of the profitable proceeds will be donated to the Harnett family. Bush Wookie has comms with a Calgary Police officer (also a @callsignsixsix member) to ensure this fundraiser is done properly. There are some more openings for companies to donate a prizes towards the fundraiser and each prize will be announced live here on social media. For me Remembrance Day isn’t just one day, it’s every day. Poppies tattooed on my left sleeve to always remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. These Warriors you see here are just some of the of the brave soldiers I had the privilege of deploying with. Sadly they lost their lives in the line of duty. Born in Truro he was A great outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing. He believed in his military mission and when not on security patrol often he could be found barbecuing for the other members of his platoon. Pte. John Michael Roy Curwin, Joining the military seemed like a perfect fit. John wanted to help people, and he wanted a stable job and lifestyle to support his family. The final inspiration came when the World Trade Center in New York City was attacked on 9-11. John’s daughter questioned how they could help, and this was the prompt that John needed to enlist. Pte. Justin Peter Jones, In his hometown of Baie Verte, a town of about 1,500 on Newfoundland's northeast coast, Jones was remembered fondly by friends and neighbours. "Justin was a sweetheart," said Madeline Drover, who said she knew Jones, 21, all of his life.
