Meet my dear friend Emmalee! This coming wedding season she is going to be my second shooter! She started shooting with me in 2019 and I'm very excited to have her shoot with me again this year!

This year dealt a hand couples were certainly not expecting. Bea and Roman were just one couple among many who were forced to change and move their plans for a big wedding. However, they didn't want to wait to get married. Working within the rules of social distancing and isolation, they made the trip from southern Ontario to their hometown in New Brunswick and got married in Victoria park. Only close family and friends attended, and stood a good distance from the couple. Be...a's close friend and bridesmaid Mary-Margaret, couldn't bear the idea that it wasn't going to be documented. They had only hired their childhood friend to take the pictures. Mary got in touch with me and picked out a package to give to the couple as a wedding present, and I was so happy to be there. This video is certainly a different flavour than all of the other wedding videos I've done. Just one single camera capturing the very intimate ceremony with so much emotion. My favourite thing about their day that I unfortunately didn't catch on camera, was, while Bea was getting ready, Roman was hiding in the family room forbidden to come out. Every hour or so, Bea would lean up against the door that divided them and said "Roman?" "Yeah?" he replies "Soon. We're almost there." Yes. I teared up every time. It would have been this past weekend. The balloon fiesta was truly missed this year. Being apart of it two years ago was truly one of the best projects I got to work on

Like many of my fellow wedding vendors, 2020 was one of my fuller seasons, and actually being one of those many couples who may (or already have) have had to reschedule their wedding. For a number of reasons we decided to get married last weekend with the intent of having a larger party when people can travel between provinces safely.
