The Butcher of Provincetown 30.10.2020

Big thanks to Duane (Dwayne?) a Port Union resident who made the drive up to Coldwater this past weekendfor saying hello up at Scream Shack Haunted Attraction. Wish I could have had more time to talk, but I had to try to stay in character for the nearby queue line as much as possible. It was very touching to see someone from our 'hood drive all that distance for the love of Halloween (and hopefully a very fun experience!). Please say hello again here if you see this. There...'s one weekend left up at Scream Shack, and if you plan to make the drive, PLEASE try to be there as close to 7pm as possible as they have to bar the gates after the parking lot is full. (there is NO street parking available, it being a very narrow and dark country road) And if you do plan to make the trek, say hello to Sticky Jim, the character I play to entertain the lineups. You can follow Jim at the link below, and please message me there on Instagram or on this page if you plan to make the drive, or have any questions.

We will not be doing even the modest Halloween display we've done the last few years this season, in part, because I'm getting my Halloween fix scaring up at Scream Shack Haunted Attraction in Coldwater, Ontario every weekend this October. It's a bit of a hike for people in our neighbourhood, but if you REALLY love Halloween the way we obviously do, it's totally worth the drive. Three attractions (two trails and a haunted barn) and lots of screams, I promise!... While you're waiting in line, I'll be there to creep you out, so make sure to say that the Butcher sent you! http://www.screamshack.com/

Here’s a way you can help the story of the Butcher of Provincetown live on, this time in another medium. It does not require any of your money (although feel free to send any extra cash you have if you’re bored), but it does require you to close your eyes. This is what I’d like you to do. Shut your lids the moment you finish reading this, and search your memory for the single image from the haunted house, the promos, the documentary, the images we’ve posted here, that most st...icks in your brain. I don’t want you to look through the pictures on this page, or go through the videos or props; rather think about something visual you remember from the mythology that’s still rattling around in your head (assuming the haunt hasn’t faded from your memory entirely) that you found interesting, frightening, alluring, or just... memorable. I can’t discuss why I’m looking for this at the moment, but can assure you that any feedback is greatly appreciated. So, in advance, thanks! Now close those damn eyes!

Port Union, will we see you tonight? Once again, we’re doing a very small version of the haunt this year. Not a walk-through like in years past. Just a little display to keep the Halloween spirit alive. Drop by for a look at what we’ve done, some candy, and possibly a scream or two.

Tonight, come see The Butcher of Provincetown haunted house. (Ok, so we kind of lied.) We're just doing a very small display in the garage this year -- nothing like the big walkthrough haunted house from years past. Come have a look, Saturday from 6pm - 9pm, and Monday night for trick or treating. (We may be open Sunday as well, but not sure yet) We just wanted to keep Halloween alive for the community as best we could, even if it's in a smaller way. Come see us, Port Union!

Stick a fork in me. I'm done. 2015 was the last year for the Butcher of Provincetown, something that brings me both relief and sadness. Building this event each fall has been an all consuming passion of mine -- designing the scenes, creating the characters, and producing the event itself -- that has left me proud, satisfied, and to be perfectly honest, a little bit... consumed. The contributions of others are what made this whole thing real. My patient family, generous friend...Continue reading
