I just got this client review in and I’m speechless. I truly get to support some spectacular humans. Randi as a doula was the best possible fit for our family and me. As a first-time pregnant mom moving to Alberta during the pandemic, I had so many concerns and questions. On top of all this, I was going through medical concerns with the pregnancy and finishing my graduate school thesis. I was too overwhelmed emotionally and physically. There were some moments I felt like I w...as resenting myself for not being able to have positive experiences with the pregnancy for my baby and partner. That's when I realized I needed someone like Randi as my doula. Moving to a new city and not knowing anyone in the area, I was determined to find a great doula for our family, so I interviewed at least five different doulas in the area. When I met with Randi, I knew she was the best possible fit for our family and me. She demonstrated such comprehensive expertise, which I could tell was based on scientific evidence and vast connections in the area. And she was able to prove every bit of her expertise as a doula throughout my pregnancy and postpartum. The best part of having her as our doula was that she has such a genuine heart. I had some days I had to spend in the emergency (without a partner because of the pandemic restriction), she was in constant contact with me, making sure that I was not too scared and overwhelmed and guiding me through the best possible ways to deal with decision making with medical conditions. In sum, when you are working with Randi, you get more than just emotional support -- her support is based on science which helps and assured this first-time mom (who is a Type A and a career researcher) so much. Randi also helped not only just me but also the whole family through our postpartum adjustment by checking in, providing us with resources, and again genuinely caring. I could not have asked for a better doula! I feel so fortunate to have worked with her as our doula.
