Inca Dinca Do is a full-service fibre processing mill located on Vancouver Island, BC. Our equipment includes the oldest operating carder in North America (she'...s a dream to run), pin-drafter, picker, extractor, cone-winder, rug core maker and an (almost new) 8-head spinner/plyer, along with barrels of SDS and RT8, thousands of carboard cones, and rolls of replacement carding cloth. We processed wool, alpaca, llama and mohair. Asking $150,000 but we are open to offers! This is a business with no shortage of customers, especially here on the West Coast. See more

As of September 1st, Facebook has majorly changed how my Butterfly Fibres page looks and how it sends me notifications and private messages. It is literally a full time exploration trying to find anything right now including adding pictures and putting up a regular post! FB has been trying for awhile to force me to download a different Messenger app specifically for my farm page. I am trying to simplify things not add more work and time. Please bear with me as I try to respond quickly to private messages and acknowledge your comments on my page.

Traditionally, Salish Woolly dogs held significant roles in the Coast Salish lifestyle, until the decline of their population in the 1800s. The dogs went extinc...t around 1900 as a result of European colonization. Woolly dogs were inherited by way of female lineage and owned by Coast Salish women. The woolly dogs were raised and bred for their fur, which weavers combined with mountain goat hair to create clothing and blankets. #NationalDogDay A portrait of two Coast Salish women holding a Salish Woolly dog (courtesy of the Chilliwack Museum and Archives, Booen Fonds, P. Do you know that a Shetland/BFL Cross is called a Mule? Yup mules are a BFL ram over a hill ewe, and the resultant crosses are called (ewe breed) mule. Scotch is probably the most common, Welsh is another. Mule ewes make up the bulk of the brit commercial flock. The ewes are crossed to a terminal sire, think texel or suffolk etc, for the main meat crop

Sheep will die if they roll on their back and are there too long. Great to have a dog that can get them back up on their feet again.

Purebred Shetland Ewes - all ewes can be registered upon request. I do not name them until I register them.
