Thank you Chrissy Teigen for sharing baby Jack with the world & for helping normalize grief and loss I cannot express how little I care that you hate the photos. How little I care that it’s something you wouldn’t have done. I lived it, I chose to do it, and more than anything, these photos aren’t for anyone but the people who have lived this or are curious enough to wonder what something like this is like. These photos are only for the people who need them. The thoughts of others do not matter to me. https://chrissyteigen.medium.com/hi-2e45e6faf764
Huge thank you to CBS news for this segment on miscarriage and for breaking down the stigma surrounding pregnancy loss.
The Butterfly Run Vancouver is pleased to present to you this infographic video on miscarriage. This was one of the many projects we supported at BC Womens Hospital in 2019 with funds raised from the Butterfly Run - click the link to check it out along with other supports. http://www.bcwomens.ca/heal/pregnancy-parenting/miscarriage

At the age of 13, I was diagnosed with kidney disease and the path my life was on was forever changed. The diagnosis was devastating for my entire family and it had...Continue reading

The Butterfly Run Vancouver is very pleased to share about another local organization we are supporting with funds from our 2020 Virtual Event. The Aboriginal Mother Centre Society - Laura Markle Co-Chair of the BRV presenting a cheque earlier this week. This facility provides shelter, support, and programs for women and children so they may make an elusive dream, of healing and family reconnection, into reality and live in a healthy self-sustaining village that supports wom...en, children, and families. With all this under one roof the Aboriginal Mother Centre Society has the capacity to deliver on-site programming with a traditional Indigenous knowledge centred approach. This approach to spiritual, physical, and emotional health includes counselling, advocacy, education, training, and social support. Aboriginal Mother Centre Society (AMCS) is a place where Aboriginal mothers, whom are facing homelessness and/or dealing with their child/ren in care of the Ministry, can come to stay. The women can rebuild their sense of self-worth and identity for a better future for themselves and their children. AMCS is a place where they can come to be together as a family. This place would be the best fitting for babies, children, and mothers, anybody who is coming through a block in their life. http://www.aboriginalmothercentre.ca/
