Animal Services does not typically pick up cats, however this one appeared to be in distress with wire wrapped around its paws. The wire has been removed and the cat is fine. Yesterday a mama duck was struck by a vehicle. Thankfully with the rapid response of our residents and officers, 6 orphaned ducklings were rescued and transported to a wildlife sanctuary. Please be vigilant of our wildlife and drive careful.

Meet Fanta. A youngster skunk who fell into one of our sewers. Our Animal Services Officers, in collaboration with our Transportation Department and the Bradford Residents managed to rescue this little guy. ... He was transported to one of our wild life sanctuaries where he will spend his adolescence before being released back into his habitat.
