We were shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic passing of Sue-Elin Lumsden (Rawson). Sue-Elin was a longtime volunteer with the Foundation and we will remember her kindness, dedication and witty sense of humour. May she rest in peace.

When Paul Tsaprailis passed away last year in the Palliative Care unit at Bluewater Health, his wife Katina and sons Gus, Theo and their families were touched by the care and compassion he received. As a way to express their gratitude the Tsaprailis family, together with their new business Oven 360 Sarnia, purchased a massage chair for staff. The massage chairs at Bluewater Health are supported by generous donors and fit with the hospital’s commitment to staff wellness and resilience.

After her experience as a patient, and noting how thankful she was for recreation therapy, Jessica VanderHoek wanted to give back. By making and selling scrunchies, she raised funds to purchase art supplies for the Recreation Therapy Program in the Mental Health and Addiction Services Inpatient Unit. Thank you Jessica for your generous donation!
