And we are at again this crisp Saturday morning. Heli just lifted off in Blackpool. We are planning to finish treating mosquito larvae in Blackpool, East Blackpool, Little Fort and Darfield today. We had a long day yesterday and hit sites in Birch Island, Clearwater, and telus North ends of Blackpool and Eaat Blackpool.

Now we are treating in Chase! If you notice a helicopter overhead, you have nothing to fear....unless you are a mosquito larva!

And we are up! The helicopter is treating in Sicamous and it is a beautiful day!

Update on our Sicamous Operations: Expect to see the helicopter out treating mosquito habitat nice and early this morning! The province has predicted that we have seen the highest peak of the Eagle River, however the Shuswap will continue to climb for a bit yet.

Exciting news! After yesterday’s worrisome flood level prediction, the graph has now been revised and it now suggests that the North Thompson has seen its final peak! Let’s keep fingers crossed! Our crew will be starting aerial treatments in Birch Island early tomorrow morning and will be heading south toward Kamloops. Depending on weather, it could take as many as three days to treat all the habitats along the North Thompson and in Kamloops. Watch for the helicopter!
