Cedar tree removal with a chainsaw and stump grinder! #bwrainbowlandscapes
Some times in life, you have to remove what gets in your way. For this client, she - and the property - had outgrown these trees.
Planting gardens is always fun... but ripping out old gardens is a lot of fun too!
Rocky and weeded area transformed into a mulched new garden with purples, blues, and conifer varieties. #bwrainbowlandscapes
Pro Tip: Root Barriers!! If you plant a tree near a foundation... Install Barriers Protect Your Investment
Two versions of low maintenance gardens. The before was tired and lacked any interest plants. I removed all the pea gravel, added soil as well as mosses, thyme, and sedums. Perfect plant choices to fill in what will become a low growing, fascinating garden.
I definitely get a kick out of cutting concrete.
Oh hello Pyracantha hedge!
2 years later: First large scale garden installation by Rainbow Landscapes
I love what I do for a living. I also love art and this tired backyard was a perfect blank canvas to create something beautiful for my client.
Before & Afters!
Some days I weed faster than others.
Landscaper Babes
This tired, old lawn was removed to create ease of mind for the client. Gravel tends to be less of a headache.
Little bit of beauty amongst the decay. Be as determined as this lonesome daffodil bulb that used the best of what it had to grow tall amid defying circumstances.
Just like that
The best 'before and after' you'll see all day.
Cluttered plum tree versus a moderate prune job with more liklihood to produce fruit. Protip: Over pruning plum trees can take away too many branches that produce leaves, photosynthesis doesn't get a chance to aid in creating energy for fruit production.
It's a moss removal kinda day!
I love cutting concrete. This simple fix made my day. No unsightly tripping hazard anymore.
Simple yet satisfying
It's the little things...
When the grass is dormant from the heat, the weeds grow quick.
The worst of the weeds reside here. Sidenote: Facebook just destroys resolution on videos.
River Rock out, Mulch in!
Curb drab to curb fab!
Dirt to lawn in a snap!
Too hot to wear pants but must weed wack.
Little preview of my day, phone overheated while taking the video and made the weirdest sound when it shut down. Note to self: don't use plastic pot in direct sunlight for a phone stand. Was only focused on the angle, of course!
Trying to weed the garden bed but client's dog Grady begged to differ.
Best way to end the day!
Took down a very dead 20ft cedar tree. Fence still looks fresh from no sun exposure.
Saved on the install labor cost. Gained knowledge thanks to a Google search. Fresh battery installed Have to treat my #1 company tool properly!
Removed old wood chip mulch, put down new fabric and fresh mulch.
Goodbye old tree.
I used the truck's power to tear out the sedge grasses in pic above. They came out in one big piece, weighing in over 375lbs!! Pro Tip: do not plant Carex of any sort in a hedge format. It does not age well. I love using my truck as a tool. Newly planted boxwoods to tie things together.
Some days, I work really fast.
One way to control and lead the blackberries!
La importancia de los habitantes del suelo Video cortesÃa de Alt National Park & Forest Service
Added some planters and landscape ties to liven up a small townhouse backyard.
Making planter boxes for a client!!
Ivy cleanup in preparation for a new fence which will be done by Rhys with Union Property Services. Dogs made a play area out of the tarp load...
Fun trip to Salt Spring for a clean up for my mom
How I'm spending my sunny/rainy Tuesday! *loud video*
Just a lil Allan Block wall repair after a car backed into it. Love working with concrete
Fixed up these front gate rock beds. Much easier on the eyes now!
Hey, might as well climb trees while I'm still young!
Notice how as more sod goes into the truck, the camera pans down more from the weight of it all.
Less mowing for this elderly gentleman.
