To be honest, I felt like this when I first stepped into the gym . No clue what any of the machines do, proper form or technique. This was also a factor in what led me to start doing most of my exercises outside, at the track for cardio and calisthenics for relative stenght .

Seeing as we're all stuck . Nothing wrong with snacking, I do it myself . Pizza, chips, pizza pops, nachos, calzone... Yeah... Idea is, keep intake in mind. With decreased physical activity, your daily caloric needs have also decreased. If left on its own, you may find yourself spiraling down, even if snacking is for your mental health. Just be aware. https://youtu.be/WGc5SFKf7Zk

Some ideas if anyone can't find some weights, not familiar with calisthenics (properly), but would like to keep excercising while we're all stuck at home. Not a... fan of IG fitness, as proper exercise protocols are rarely taught. Tempo, isometric/eccentric/concentric, rpe, etc. I have an assumption that you already were doing some weight lifting prior, and looking for ideas. For advanced lifters, you might look into trying to maintain muscle and focus on isometrics (holds) #excercise #fitness #fitnessmotivation #covid #covid_19 #nogymnoproblem #makeshiftweights #keepfit

A week or so of inactivity will not result any muscle loss, however after around 3 weeks, your body will start breaking muscle down. Your body operates on a use or it lose it mentality, and muscles have a high upkeep. On that note, this would be where exercise routines under calisthenics/body weight would be awesom...e . https://youtu.be/ljYlQWQMxS8

I've seen the IG fitness posts, the fads and gimmicks. Working out and getting in shape is not rocket science. In fact, it's easier than most people think, contrary to what's portrayed. Most important factors in achieving your fitness goals are being honest with your progress, realistic achievable goals, adherence and consistency Excerpt from the included link... "1. Most of what we read is sponsored content, and used as a ploy to sell products, 2. Most of what we read isn’t the absolute truth; athletes can’t and won’t give full disclosure of everything they are using and doing, 3. Most of what we read is intended for a target audience with experience beyond the general public and those in the beginner phase of working out." https://www.fearlessmotivation.com//fitness-goals-realist/
