Good evening Bygour Fans, I starting to add the deep blue sky. Takes many layers of pastels before I reach the desired blue. I already have four different dark blues laid down now. I will start the lighter blues soon. Tomorrow I am going to start the dark browns of the eagle. I am looking forward to that. ... Good morning Bygour Fans, After I finish up a bit of work on my day job as an Economic Development Officer for my band (we are closed but I am helping out a fellow member on a business plan) I am starting this. My good friend Anna requested a portrait but I couldn’t get the facial features right even after five different attempts. After feeling defeated, I suggested we try a different picture of her choice that was not people. She provided me this beautiful majestic eagle ...picture that took my breath away. Anna and I both have talked on how an eagles presence reminds us of our previous Chief Freeman Ward and how he still looks over us in an eagles spirit. This painting is going to mean a lot to me because many years ago, Chief Freeman took me under his wing and helped me understand a lot about myself and that being two spirited is something to celebrate and not be ashamed of it. Chief Freeman took interest in me and showed that as a leader, he cared for all his band members and gave me guidance in my life as a good leader would. We miss him dearly. The telephone pole this eagle is on will be replaced with a tree branch or something from nature. This painting will be a big one. Two feet by three feet. The drawing is going to take a day or two and then the big job of painting in the details. I am very excited for this painting. #bygourstudio #pastelpaintingofaneagle #eagle #pastelpainting

Today, after work, I was to give the finished painting of his dog to a customer. I was not happy with my customers painting of the chihuahua so I looked at the photo he gave me and decided to completely start another one that resembles his photo. So, two hours before I started work this morning, I started over. I worked a few hours today in my studio today and now I feel I am a super hero after straightening up that room. I cleaned and prepared a customer’s painting of their chihuahua and will reveal the finished product after he receives it.

Dark colours are laid down on the canvas, now to add the highlights and details. The chihuahua is starting to come to life. This is all done with my pastel pencils and fingers. #bygourstudio #pastelpainting #carbothellopencils

Good morning Bygour Fans, I am sorry that I haven't posted anything for a while. I haven't stopped painting in case anyone was wondering where I have been on my social media platforms. This is my busy time of year where I can't post my paintings where they are all gifts commissioned by my customers. But, on Christmas morning, I will start flooding my pages with video's and pictures of the paintings I just did and am currently working on. I did the same thing last year wh...ere I had to wait to post my videos. Please be patient because I have some cool things that I have worked on that were my biggest challenges yet. I am so happy that my customers push my abilities so that I see more things that I am capable of painting. Thank you for your patience and "Thanks for watching!".

So today, before I started work at my part time job at the Tipsy Tails Restaurant in Alma NB, I went across the street from the restaurant and I was stopped by a husband and wife. They asked me if I was the artist that painted all the vintage trucks. I said maybe. Then they went on about how they have been following my art posts online. I was flabbergasted that they recognized me. Made me feel like a local celebrity.

The new beginning of Collins Lobster Shop in Alma, New Brunswick. My first attempt was too small so I increased the size so I could put more detail into the painting. The tools I use for my sketch are a protractor set, rulers, erasers, white pastel pencil, a stick to steady my hand, and a lot of patience. ... I am on my way into town before I start work on my day job to get spray glue for attaching my 400 grit sand paper to a foam board. Here is my industrial roll of sandpaper. I always get a kick out of my paintings at the hot mess stage. They always look like a child has painted them with crayons. Lol These colours are just the first layer of base colours. You may wonder why the floor is a pink tone? It actually has these tones as highlights with a darker red in the picture I took. We are so fortunate to have found this amazing neighbourhood of Hillsborough. Chuck and I decided to go for a drive and when we got home, our neighbours painted us rocks for our flower beds and left them on our back patio. Our neighbour said that her kids like us and that they wanted to give these as a gift. This totally made our day. ... We haven’t second guessed our choice to move to this town once.
