Are you or your clients spending excess time at the computer or on your device? If you are then you are repetitively using the muscle group known as your forearm flexors. These are the muscles that perform wrist and or finger flexion which facilitate typing and mousing. Over time if these muscles are not stretched enough they become shortened, tight and can cause pain and issues in the wrist and hand. When stretching any muscle group it is important to remember that you want ...to warm up before applying a stretch. Once warmed up you can apply the stretch as shown in the photo to both the left and right sides of your body. You would hold this stretch in a place of tension but not pain! Hold for a minimum of 30 seconds, release and repeat for a total of 3x on each side. You can add this to your day and to your yoga classes because if there is one thing we can be sure of....people are on their devices! Be Well!
