Update: Please note that the precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted and this repair is now complete. --- Updated at 12:32 AM, Monday, July 6, 2020:... Cobequid Road & Glendale Drive Water Main Repairs to Continue (Monday, July 6, 2020) Halifax Water crews will be working through the night continuing repairs to the water main near the intersection of Cobequid Road and Glendale. Those customers who were impacted by the water shut down during the repairs over the weekend may experience continued low or no water pressure as repair efforts continue. Water service is expected to be restored on Monday, July 6, at 12:00 noon. Water is being redirected from other regions to provide some of the impacted areas with water service, but the supply will not be able to service all impacted customers. The precautionary boil water advisory is still in place for customers in the communities of Fall River, Waverley, Windsor Junction, Capilano, Miller Lake, Frame, Silverside, Lakeview & Lower Sackville (Cobequid Road - Glendale Drive Outbound see attached map). These customers should boil tap water for one minute prior to use for consumption or cleaning. In order to remove the boil advisory, we need two consecutive favourable sample results to present to Nova Scotia Environment (NSE) and the Medical Officer of Health. Given the time required to obtain test results, the earliest the boil advisory can be lifted is at some point on Monday, July 6. However, it may take longer. We will update the public when the precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted.
