Great Spirit Lodge is a family owned and operated business located on the beautiful Lake Temagami. When Randy and Angela began the business in April 2018, they contacted Brand Ambition for their logo and have since worked with us for their marketing materials to showcase their brand as inviting, comforting and adventurous. We have been helping GreatSpirit Lodge with their marketing and branding since 2018! In that time we’ve developed marketing materials like a pop up banner,... business cards, a cottage stay booklet, a buckslip/rack card, hoodies and t-shirts and more. We also maintain their website (greatspiritlodge.ca) and their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

A friend of mine asked if I could do an illustration outline of a photo of her grandparents as a gift, so I did my first-ever attempt at this kind of art. Do you like these face-less illustration outlines?

All of my branding and graphic projects for clients start with illustrations and hand-drawn elements. I pick up my iPad and pen and start drafting ideas. I then do some searching for elements to add to the design. When I’m happy with the final products, I put it into a design program for finalizing and last tweaks. And every project and every client gets more than one option to choose from (my record for first drafts is 12 so far) - because who doesn’t love options?!... That’s why every project is unique for every client

What’s the secret to a perfect social media presence? You really want to know? Okay, but I’m only telling you!... CONSISTENCY Do you only have time to post twice a week? Do you like to show your full day every day? Whatever you’re preference, keep it consistent! Do you like to write a story in your captions? Or just share a couple words of wisdom? Whatever your preference, keep it consistent! Let your followers know what they can expect and give them what they’ve come to know

Put a little you in your business! The product is important, the clients are important and the admin work is important. But without YOU, your business would be nothing. More and more, we are all craving connection. Consumers want to connect with the creators they are buying from and feel like the item was made specifically for them.... So don’t be afraid to let them in! Show them the nitty gritty, the behind-the-scenes, packaging orders in your PJs, wrestling your kids while writing receipts, making dinner while approving designs. Gone are the times when all businesses need to be seen as professional and polished 24/7. Show your clients the celebrities - they’re just like us! version of your business and watch the organic connections grow.

I spent 3 years in Kitchener-Waterloo working in non-profit Marketing & Communications after graduating from Durham College in Oshawa. I just recently moved back to my hometown of Belleville on the Bay of Quinte and purchased my first home with my hubby.
