Gorgeous photo by @after_impact of one of my Windswept Pine Mugs. Now that I can throw on the wheel again (YAHOO!), I'm thinking about reviving the Windswept Pine Mugs for Fall 2021. I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to throw again after my injury in late 2019. But with a year off to heal, lots of physio, a standing wheel set-up, and learning to process my clay so it's a softer consistency, I've been able to throw small 1lb to 1.5lbs balls of clay! I'm not sure what to call these...Dipping bowls? Tea bag holders? Ring bowls? I'm open to ideas! All I know is they are super useful! We have some like these in our kitchen and we use them all the time for soya sauce and holding our tea strainers. But what to call them?! This Rain dessert bowl is calling out for ice cream! It's tough to see it in the photo, but this glaze combo on the cloud area is buttery and decadent. So far, I've only made one of these since it was an experiment. Rain and Thunderstorm pots: Which is your favourite? I’m so happy with how these are coming out! Iteration 3 is a winner!
