Due to the order from Alberta Health, our centre will have the following changes effective immediately: - No drop-in is allowed - Singles play only (Doubles is not allowed) - Maximum 4 people per court reservation... Group lessons at ClearOne are starting once again along with the new school year! However, we will be taking extra measures to ensure the safety of our students. In addition to our standard precautions, students must complete a temperature check prior to each class. Masks will be required in the waiting area, but they can be removed on court. Coaches will enforce social distancing throughout warm up and training exercises, including demonstrations and collecting shuttles. Fur...thermore, all coaches will wear masks when conducting lessons. Safety is our top priority and we hope to continue providing quality badminton coaching to our students during this pandemic. We were fortunate to have this legendary player visit ClearOne Badminton - Richmond a few times in the past! Tony Gunawan, one of the greatest doubles players of all time, has won the Olympics in 2000 and the World Championships in 2001 and 2005. What makes it even more impressive was that he won with different partners! Enjoy this classic match, still in the time of service point, and witness a genius in action!

ClearOne Badminton Centre Calgary will open as of June 13th, 2020 BY APPOINTMENT ONLY for court rentals, one on one private lessons, and small group training. We will be following strict protocols and restrictions under the Provincial Organization and our local health authorities guidelines. ClearOne will be strictly following all social distancing rules: - Limiting 50 people per section of the 26,000 sq. ft gym... - No spectators allowed only those who are there to play and will be reminded to leave immediately after play time has finished - Absolutely no social gathering - Hand sanitizer available to use when enter/exit the centre - No shower allowed at this time until further notice - Lessons will resume in a controlled format abiding by rules on social distancing - Please enter the centre 5 to 10 mins before booking time and please leave within 5 to 10 mins after the booking time ends We are excited to have our courts open again but will remind all patrons, ClearOne will be following all strict protocols set out by the local health authorities. New dates for the Olympics have been set in 2021!

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics will be postponed! This is great news especially for our Olympic-track Canadian athletes, as Team Canada recently announced that they would not be sending any athletes to the Olympics or Paralympics if they were to be held this summer. Health and safety are paramount, and despite some tough decision making, it is nice to see that the IOC is looking out for everyone!
