Cabana Beach Campground is continuing to remain closed to reservations and drive-in customers looking for camping during the 2020 camping season. We look forward to be opening again as normal in May 2021!
Just if you are tired of the stress and need a laugh!
June 1 2020 Update for summer 2020: Cabana Beach Campground in Osoyoos is remaining closed to drive in customers and is not accepting phone reservations for summer 2020. This is due to the Covid-19 precautions. The parks permanent RV customers (who rent their sites seasonally) are the only customers on the property. Our streetfront signage states CLOSED and No drive-in customers or booking requests are being accepted. If this changes, a notice will be placed here and on our phone message. Note: Our campground and beach may appear to have people - these are just our onsite permanent customers. Signage will still show Closed. Thank you for your understanding!
Message from the Cabana Beach Campground Owners: March 25 2020: At this time our 2020 reservations have not started yet. This is because we havent been able to determine yet if our private campground will be able to open to the public this summer due to the issue of Covid-19, and specifically due to the fact of social distancing being difficult to enforce in the common areas and around the tenting and RV sites and on our beach. I hope we will receive guidance and more and ...better information from the government on this soon. PS: Our reservations normally begin as of April 15th, but that is also unsure depending if we have to OK to open. We will post here, and on our website, if any news develops allowing us to go ahead with opening the park and start taking reservations. Note: If you rebooked on departure last summer, and you paid a deposit , we are holding your reservation as is, and your deposit is safe, and you can be rest assuered we are looking after it. If you wish to cancel for 2020, then it can be rolled over to 2021, or alternately it is totally refundable on request. Please then send an email to [email protected] Thank you for your understanding, and lets all hope for the best for an open summer. -Alison and Gary, owners/operators Cabana Beach Campground Osoyoos. We are open for summer business, and do still have a some spots available! Tent sites come with our trademark kitchen cabanas, and our Partial and Full hookup sites are suitable for small RV trailers, small and medium motorhomes, campervans and tent trailers. Beachfront lots as well for sun lovers. Families, seniors welcome . (Sorry this campground does not accept dogs.)
Flooding is all gone, thankfully, and our beach is back!
Sunset rainstorm today!

Evening sunsets have been slightly smokey sometimes this summer of no rain. We look forward to receiving some wet autumn weather to put out distant fires!!

Hot and sunny here but some smokey skies (due to forest fires in other areas further away). http://osoyoostoday.ca//uploads/2017/08/08_01_smoke_web.jpg
Attention all BC residents and out of province visitors. Campfires are not allowed anywhere.

We had "refreshing" weather for the opening May long weekend. Those who ventured here to camp May 19-21 - despite clouds and a few showers - seemed to enjoy themselves! Also many seasonal campers took advantage of the mild temps to spring clean and open their trailers. Adults relaxed at the beach, while kids frolicked in the 16 degree lake water! We look forward to seeing our summer visitors.. Canada Day July 1st is on a Friday, making a true longweekend this year.
Now in Seasonal Closure from October until May 2016. Emails and phone calls will be answered only intermittently during the winter (closed) season. New reservations begin as of April 15th. Thank you to all our patrons this year - we had a fun, busy camping season, despite a long drought (and some weeks of very smokey skies). We also really appreciated our wonderful staff members Richard and Michelle, and also young Bruce. See you next summer!
This includes our Osoyoos, British Columbia Area, and please note that this ban prohibits backyard fireworks, tiki torches and even small wood fires in contained pits and barrels. Campers are still allowed to use a propane firepit, or a propane stove or hibatichi with coal briquettes, so those are still ok at this time. http://osoyoosdailynews.com//06/30/bc-forest-fire-bulletin/
Wonderful June event - happening again soon in Osoyoos !
Reservations for summer are being accepted by email at [email protected]. PS Amazing 20 degree temps for early March have been temping us to get started with yard work as well, therefore we thank you for your patience in waiting for email to be answered!
In 2 weeks the campground will be closed for the season. Thanks to all who stayed this summer! Sorry to anyone who tried to stay but werent able to get through by phone or email. (We were very short staffed and therefore missed answering some calls and emails). We hope to remedy this somehow for next year. Here is a photo taken yesterday (Sept 21st), when according to Environment Canada we hit 31 C!
