Students and staff share some Christmas excitement as they dress up for "Ugly Sweater Day" today.

Friday is our annual ugly Christmas sweater day! Let's ring in the last week of school with some Christmas spirit.

Blood Bus Coop will not be running routes starting December 4 until January 11. Cardston Elementary is still open and in person. Parents will need to provide transportation. We realize this is a challenge but hope that you will work to make transportation arrangements until Christmas break. We want to support your children in their learning at school!

CES Report Cards have been emailed to parents today, a paper copy will not be sent home. Please contact the school if you did not receive it, or if you have any problems opening the document.

Virtual Running & Reading Club for Students in Westwind SD "Our kids may feel isolated with so many after school activities currently suspended. Here is a free opportunity to combine running and literacy! Give it a try!" My name is Anna and I am a Regional Manager with Start2Finish. I wanted to reach out to let you know about the 'new' opportunity we have for students this year. We have taken our fun & educational in-person Running & Reading Clubs, and made them virtual! Ou...r program provides fitness, literacy, and social-emotional learning, all from the comfort and safety of home! We have been working with schools in Calgary and Edmonton for multiple years and, as location is no longer a barrier, we would like to promote and extend the opportunity to as many students as possible. Any student in grades 2-6 can join as the program is all virtual! About BrainworX - Virtual Running & Reading Club! Twice a week, after school, for 30 minutes each meet (on Tues, Wed, and/or Thurs), between 4pm and 5:30pm Sessions are held through Google Classroom Each week we will combine literacy, fitness, and social-emotional learning Students will be in teams of 8-10, with 2-3 coaches mentoring each session There is an opportunity to win prizes! Tomorrow will be a great day at CES! Our students and staff that were self-isolating return to school without any additional positive cases. We welcome back the staff and students and are excited to have everyone in class learning together. CES is blessed with a strong school community supporting the efforts to keep everyone safe and healthy. We hope to see everyone in class tomorrow!

Once again, during the month of December, the Parent Council will be doing Candy Grams for staff and students. If you would like to send one or more, all you have to do is click on the link below and fill out the order form for each student you would like to send a candy gram. With the latest restrictions for Covid-19 that the Alberta Government came out with this week, Principal Stacy Jacobs wanted to reach out to parents with this message.

The High School will not be selling cinnamon buns in December, however, the Sweet Spot will be providing us with cinnamon buns for sale every Wednesday. They will continue to be $2.00 and students will give their order to their teacher along with payment first thing on Wednesday mornings. Below in the Hot Lunch Menu for December.

Picture Retakes are Tuesday, November 24th. If your child attends Preschool and would like a retake, please arrange to bring them to CES, as transportation will not be provided by the school. Please send the original proofs with your child to retakes, if you do not have them, they can still have retakes. The photographer will be here at 11:00 a.m. and will stay until after lunch to take pictures of the afternoon kindergarten students who need retakes.
