Who doesn’t need delicious coffee and dessert as part of their Thanksgiving feast? Says no one ever! That is why we have these handy 1-litre bottled specialty drinks with latest flavours, as well as the new gluten free pumpkin tart available to help you celebrate Thanksgiving long weekend. The bottled drinks are perfect for sharing. Enjoy them cold over ice, or hot in a mug. Our extensive research also concludes that they make lovely base for cozy cocktails, hot toddy style. Our new gluten free pumpkin tart echos the warming spices found in the REAL PSL. If you would like to serve them in your long weekend feast, we are here to help. We are open through Friday til 3pm. Under normal circumstances, I had thought of Everbean as an underdog, tucked away inside the lobby of a health centre, being overlooked by pedestrians and drivers alike due to lack of street frontage. Amidst this pandemic, I am further aware of the disadvantage of our location, with healthy patrons consciously avoiding coming into the medical building, and majority of clinic patients being consulted via phone instead of in person. Team Everbean received a Community Health Care Hero Award from Peace Arch Hospital Foundation today for our Give Thanks Initiative launched since March. Big THANK YOU to our generous community of South Surrey, White Rock and beyond for loading the PAH gift card which allows us to deliver yummy food and drinks to keep our local healthcare heroes nourished and caffeinated. Special shout out to Paula of Gusto Inc. for donating her delicious vegan cakes to accompany our coffee... delivery on multiple occasions. Much appreciation also goes to Jenn and Barb of PAH Volunteer Resources, as well as the foundation staff for being our bridge in connecting our food and drinks to various departments throughout the hospital and spreading love. Happy 1st day of September! These days, the sense of time is somewhat skewed. Weeks and months seem to fly by, yet drag on all at once. Anyone else feels the same? Much has changed in the world since mid March. However, we are still here, making coffee; pouring lattes, and cooking/baking up a storm. We are grateful that we still have one another in our small yet mighty team. We are thankful for everyone and anyone’s support. And in case you are wondering, we are ca...rrying on our Give Thanks Initiative, rallying the community to load the designated gift card for Peace Arch Hospital, and then converting the donated funds into tasty deliveries of food and drinks to fuel and caffeinated our local healthcare professionals. Everyday, we are doing our best to feverishly clean and disinfect the cafe in keeping everyone safe, while trying our most to keep our small business afloat. However, amidst the frantic of life, we also found a sense of purpose in brightening people’s days through coffee, food, and a little smile (albeit mostly hidden behind our masks). So here’s a cheer to a new month! Let’s keep going; stay optimistic; take care of one another, and lift our spirits high. If all else failed, know that we can always rely on Pumpkin Spice Latte to comfort us.
