Though Emily usually prefers to remain behind the scenes in her role in operations, she wanted to take a moment to thank our phenomenal team and the people they touched this incredibly challenging holiday season... When we started planning for the holidays, I knew this year was going to be different but I could never have predicted what was ahead... Our incredible team put in countless hours handwriting cards for guests; meticulously wrapping baskets and tying bows; and ...crying with customers over the phone as they shared their stories and arranged to send special gifts to loved ones they hadn’t seen for the better part of a year and wouldn’t get to see for Christmas. Food has always been a way for people to connect and this year that became more important than ever. I am so proud of the La Tana team; from the cooks making meals as heartwarming as Nonna’s and the associates working endless hours in the caffè, to our drivers navigating torrential rain and terrible traffic to ensure every gift got delivered on time. And I am so incredibly grateful to our customers ~ friends, family and strangers ~ for choosing La Tana to make the holidays a little less strange and a lot more special. Thank you. And with that we begin the final day of 2020. We will be here, as always, with fresh pasta and provisions for those who will be cooking at home tonight and in the coming days; pizza, pastry and strong coffee for the long day & night ahead; and gratitude for our community for the love & support.
