We are officially gearing up for our Fall 2020 Caffiends Fundraiser and we need your help! Throughout the month of October, we will be selling limited edition Caffiends face masks to raise money for RAVEN Trust. Mask designs are going to be crowd-sourced from U of T students and will be accepted on a rolling basis from now until October 5th. If you’re an artsy type and interested in submitting your design for consideration, be sure to visit this form (https://forms.gle/57VVUrog9JoMiafg9) for more information. Preference will be given to designs that are Caffiends-themed. We can’t wait to see what your beautiful minds come up with!

2020 Fall Semester Update To prioritize the safety of our patrons, volunteers, and the larger community, we have decided that the café will remain closed for the fall semester. This was not an easy decision for anyone involved and it is with heavy hearts that we announce that Caffiends will not be able to serve you in-person this fall. However! Thanks to our incredible community, the Caffiends spirit remains! While our physical space remains closed, our exec team is working ...hard to bring the Caffiends experience to you, wherever you might be. This fall, stay tuned to our socials for new (and exciting!) updates, giveaways, fresh merch drops, fundraisers, and a whole lot of Caffiends content. In the meantime, stay happy, stay healthy, and we hope to see you all in January!

This is tomorrow! Come through and rally in support of the Wet'suwet'en nation. We will meet at Caffiends between 1:30-1:40pm before meeting the larger Vic contingent at 1:45pm outside of Goldring Student Centre.

As a student group that strives to incorporate principles of sustainability and environmental justice into how we operate, we recognize that climate justice cannot be achieved without justice for Indigenous peoples and respect for their sovereignty. On March 4th, Caffiends will be sending a contingent out as part of the National Student Walk Out for Wet'suwet'en. This event is part of a national series of student walkouts taking place on the stolen territories of Indigenous nations across so-called "canada". We invite our volunteers and community members to join us as stand in solidarity with the Wet'suwet'en hereditary chiefs who demand that the RCMP and CGL fully withdraw from their sovereign territory. February is here, and that means it’s time for our February Fundraiser! This year we’re excited to introduce to you the Peaches & Cream Tea Latte with Coconut Whipped Cream , for $3.75. All proceeds from every purchase of this delicious drink will be going to #FreeGrassy. Every year Caffiends has a fundraiser to support. This year, we have chosen to donate to Free Grassy, an organization comprised of solidarity activists and Grassy Narrows community organizers, to suppor...t their resistance against government inaction to mercury poisoning in their community. Mainstream media fails to highlight the instrumental role of government in facilitating and supporting extractive resource projects that poison the lands and waters of Indigenous communities which work to perpetuate colonial and environmental violence. In dedicating our fundraiser to a Grassy Narrows First Nation, we hope to draw attention to the entanglements of climate justice and Indigenous rights.
