We've had this one under wraps for a little while now, but we're super excited to see this work get launched! Over the past few months, Cageless has worked with the Union of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaq to do a full rebranding of their organization including a new name, a fresh approach to their logo, hundreds of new photographs, loads of written content, and a beautiful new website! We're not only super proud of this work, but we're very proud to play a small role in the work that UNSM is doing every day... Hey, so we’ve been working on this little ditty of a project for a little while now. We weathered through wedding season, had meetings with our kids running around together, we explored tons of ideas, and came up with some truly amazing stuff (I think so, anyway). Very happy to unveil our latest web design for Brittany MacLeod. If you don’t know about Britt, she’s an incredible photographer - based out of Atlantic Canada - doing some of the best work coming out of anywhere.... We’ve worked with Britt lots in the past. You’ve seen some of her beauty shots featured on other websites we’ve designed. It’s always a pleasure Plus it’s a special kind of fun to work with friends you’ve known for literally decades. We were very honoured to work with Sydney Memorial Chapel this Summer, helping create a beautiful and informative website for this second-generation family-owned business. Historically, newspapers & special announcements would have been the primary means of sharing the news about a lost loved one... but now social media and websites have moved to the forefront. We worked diligently with SMC to ensure the experience visitors had on the site (reading obituaries, pre-planning fu...neral arrangements, and learning more about the business) was respectful, clean, easy to navigate, and easily shareable on social media. Kollin and his team were incredibly kind to us and it really was a pleasure working for them!

The journey from vision to final outcome is always exciting. Along the way you discover more about yourself, your organization, and the story you want to tell. This particular narrative is one about strength, self-governance, and self-determination and it’s one I’m proud to be a small part of. These shots were taken at the Eskasoni Powwow this past weekend and are being used in a larger re-branding project with the newly named Union of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaq. ... There are many other Powwows and cultural events happening this summer. Take the time to attend some and appreciate beautiful Mi’kmaq culture with your friends & family. My kids joined us this weekend while shooting and they loved every second of it!
