Does your face mask pass the flame test? If you can easily blow out a small flame through your mask, then you can consider it to be an ineffective barrier against escaping respiratory droplets. MASK POLICY UPDATE ... We continue to encourage clients to bring their own clean reusable face masks to appointments in order to reduce environmental impact. HOWEVER, in light of increased COVID cases in BC, we are asking for the following styles to not be used: -Non-elastic cloth masks that easily slip down the face, requiring frequent readjustment -Trades masks with external dust valves -Non-mask face coverings such as scarves, balaclavas, etc. -Plastic face shields in substitution for a face masks -Any other coverings that clinic staff do not feel 100% meet protective standards If you arrive with one of the above styles, clinic staff will kindly ask you to replace it with a disposable one provided at the door. Thank you for your cooperation! For more info on our COVID-19 procedures, visit: https://cainexerciserehab.com/covid19.html

Two different variations of the same rowing exercise. (See the switch at 18s.) The first is a strict, squared, and isolated exercise focusing primarily on the shoulder movement. The second version is what someone might point out in the gym as improper form, but it is more how we’re likely to grab and pull on something in real life, adding in increased torso rotation and spinal involvement. ... Both versions are key. Yes, isolation is an important foundation. When recovering from pain or injury, though, we also need to relearn how to move realistically in day-to-day life. Life isn’t the gym.
