Your partnership makes a difference in VERY REAL and PRACTICAL ways. In South Africa, they are really struggling with the outbreak of COVID-19, so much so, that the start of school has been delayed. As well, in many areas, they may be moving to online school. THANKS TO YOUR PARTNERSHIP and generosity, we have been able to provide families with the necessary technology and devices so that the children and teens can continue their education online. To assist with their learnin...g, Debbie started an English Reading Program on February 1st where the kids are encouraged to read appropriate books of their choice and then report back about it. We know that reading will have a positive effect on their literacy skills, their imagination, and the bonding that happens between an adult and a child as they read together. Thank you!

WE HAVE MET OUR GOAL! We are overwhelmed by your response to meet the need to feed hungry children in South Africa! We have surpassed our goal to feed approximately 250 children on a daily basis until school starts on February 15th. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO RESPONDED BY GIVING AND SHARING THE POST! "When I told the one lady who helps us serve (about the money coming in), she wept! She just kept praising God for coming to our rescue. (Debbie, National Director of Father's House SA) "Today the children just keep coming...with the schools closed many children who eat daily at the Sewula school have gone hungry. Today we had 250+ children and had to ration out the food. Schools are only opening on the 15th of February. PLEASE OPEN YOUR HEARTS FOR THE HUNGRY."... $25 will provide enough meals for 83 children for 1 day. $75 will cover meals for 250 children for 1 day. CONSIDER feeding some children this week. South African Families Celebrate! Prior to greater restrictions being enforced in South Africa, our families were able to gather for a "Country Christmas Celebration." Our director, Debbie, wrote, "The party was a great success with all of the children never having been up close to a horse let alone ride one. The food was plentiful with gifts for everyone. We had a photo shoot with everyone joining in the fun. The families had not gathered together since February. Thank you for the sponsorship of this event."

Sweet success from our Holiday Baking Fundraiser! Armed with 400 dozen cookies, we spent 3 Saturdays at a booth in West Edmonton Mall. Most of the cookies were sold and close to $2700 was raised to help orphaned and abandoned children in Romania and South Africa. Thank you to everyone who baked such beautiful cookies, to those who generously purchased them, and to everyone who helped out in any way, thank you!
