I'm so excited to announce that starting on Monday, June 22nd, I will be back at the clinic! Manual osteopathy appointments are now available to book online - here are a few things to be aware of: 1. Those who had to be cancelled or are on my wait list will have the first 48 hours of access to our booking page. After 48 hours, we will open it up for anyone else wanting to book in! 2. We are booking 30 minutes in between patients to allow for proper disinfecting and cleaning. ...I have changed my Monday hours to allow for more treatments during the day. I will still be in the clinic from Monday to Wednesday. 3. We are encouraging those booking follow-ups to book an extra 15 minutes longer than their usual appointment times for their first visit back. As it has likely been over 3 months, the extra time will allow for appropriate re-assessment and leave enough time for treatment! 4. You will receive a COVID-19 assessment 2 hours prior to your appointment that must be completed before your treatment. You will also have your temperature taken and logged before we begin. Patients will be required to wear masks and sanitize their hands upon arrival - we have some masks available at the clinic if you forget yours! 5. We have signage posted directing you to our new waiting area. Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible and bring only the necessities with you. We are working as hard as we can to make this "new normal" as easy and safe as possible for everyone. When you book your appointments, please take some time to familiarize yourself with our new procedures and what we are doing to keep everyone safe! This has been a long 3 months... I am so excited to get back into the clinic and see everyone again. Please let me know if you have any questions!

IT band - why is it so important to address in the case of low back pain? The IT band is an important component of the pelvis, hips, and knees. Tension within the glutes and IT band can pull on the surrounding muscles, especially those in the lumbar region of the back. This band can tighten due to overuse or injury, causing a downward pull on your adjacent muscles - this leads to potential nerve compression and pain throughout the back and glutes, When you visit a manual oste...opath, we don't just treat the symptoms. We check every area to ensure that we attack the pain from the source, and we also provide specific homecare to best achieve your goals. Don't let pain or tension make the upcoming holiday season more stressful. Let's tackle pain at the source and help you achieve better health!

Mental Health is just as important as Physical Health. I had the wonderful opportunity to be present with True Roots Healthcare at Defeat Depression yesterday. It was truly amazing seeing so many individuals driven to combat depression. It was also inspiring to hear everybody open up about their own personal battles - it is so important to get talking about mental health. I am excited to be offering a treatment package over the next couple of weeks for a total of 15% off of your first two visits. Manual osteopathy treatments not only have incredible benefit for your physical health, they have great effect on your mental health and well-being as well.
