Our 7th Annual Walk A Mile Fredericton 2020 was supposed to be today but could not take place due to COVID-19. Over the past 6 years, our Annual Walk A Mile eve...nts have drawn the attention and participation of many kind-hearted people within the Fredericton community. Were proud to have hosted 512 men (in total) wearing RED high heels and marching the streets of downtown Fredericton to voice up on domestic violence. A total of $136,594 had been raised as a result of continuous support over the 6-year span and 100% of the proceeds went to Frederictons Women In Transition House Inc to help improve the lives of the victims of abuse, which are predominantly women & children. Unfortunately, 2020 is unlike any recent years weve witnessed. COVID-19 has put us all in difficult times but at least we were safe in our own homes. But these women at risk? At home, theyre facing another pandemic named ABUSE. But, even from afar, you can still help!
