Oh hey friends! It’s been a while Just thought I’d post a lash pic in anticipation of possibly reopening next weekAssuming things stay that way of course. In saying that...How are you all feeling about getting personal services done again? Are you rushing to make appointments? Keeping everything au naturel or just waiting to see what happens next? What’s the 411? I’ve been seeing so many of my lash and beauty industry pals gearing up to reopen and it’s really warming my heart The thought of getting to do lashes and services for my clients and having my business up and running again is kinda fricking awesome to say the least

I’m not going to lie. Being a beauty business owner at a time like this has my mind on absolute overload. I have felt as though I’m just not doing enough. As though I’m letting you down by not offering alternatives to treatments while we’ve got to be contactless. Like most, I didn’t have a back up plan for this scenario and I know they’re just lashes. Believe me... I know, but for many of us, lashes have been so much more than just another beauty treatment. For me they...’ve been my passion for 5 years, they’ve been a beauty treatment turned into a never ending puzzle...a true craft that I have so much respect for and ultimately it’s become my livelihood. For some of you, getting your lashes done has been an escape from your worries, the pick me up that gives you a renewed sense of confidence and for some it’s even become therapeutic in many ways. And if we’re being honest...they just look really really good! But the reality is...things are on hold for now. So, my question to you is, how can I help you during this time? Everything is feeling a bit out of focus right now hey? So instead of focusing on that I thought I’d say THANK YOU to all my clients, friends and family who have been checking in with me since the temporary closure of my business. I am so grateful for all the support you’ve shown me. Wether you’ve graciously shared a post or tagged me in your stories, sent me a text or email just to see what’s going on, It’s really made me realize how lucky I am to have the close c...onnections that I do with you. A BIG THANK YOU as well to those of you who have been able to purchase future appointments in advance. Every time I see your messages, it’s really encouraged me to continue doing what I do and to not give up on this business I love so much. I know we‘re all going through different emotions on all kinds of levels right now and are dealing with this news in different ways, so having you show up for me in all of these capacities, when I know you’re trying to make sense of this in your own lives, really engrains that physical human connection is truly so needed and my work isn’t as non-essential as it seemingly is right now. But that’s the way it’s got to be for now and that’s ok. None of us know when this virus will finish running its course but It will if we keep following the rules set in place for us. Deep breaths...Take in all the goodness. I feel safe, I feel loved, I feel warm....but not like fever warm, just to clarify. It’s ok to close the doors for now and it’s ok to feel unsure about it. It’s ok to not have all the answers right now. Business as usual is not quite that. We are slowing down from something that we are unable to control and that’s ok. There may be panic. There may be fear of loss and even a looming sense of loneliness. But loneliness is really just a state of mind where perhaps we lack love in ourselves and forget the love that surrounds us. Take this time to slow down. Focus inward. Focus on being. Focus on loving. Maybe productivity can be set aside just for this moment. It’s ok to just be still. But also move a little bit cause it’s good for you. -Love Caito

Tbt to lashes...Already starting to miss lashing you beauties! Even though I’m closed for a while I’ll still be buffing up my skills, keeping up with the latest Lofi jams and making sure my fine motor skills stay in tact not JUST by pouring myself a glass of wine in the evenings I will actually be practicing fan making and isolating on the daily thanks to my husband who has just volunteered his beautiful lashes as tribute!
