Enjoy this little Elvis cake video. I can still dream of warmer places even though its freezing outside. My winter walkabout is canceled due to covid, but I can turn up the heat and lay about in my bathing suit with a cold beverage if I want. How do you handle winter? Please share. Music by Elvis Presley, Blue Hawaii

Today's cake was all about classics. Classic novels, classic childrens stories, classic black patent pumps (they don't have to be the kind you defer a mortgage payment for @Louboutin ). Things that bring back happy memories and favorite things are important as we head into more restricted times. Look around you now. You've no doubt surround yourself with things you cherish. Enjoy them now and in the days ahead. ps: I left one blank for you, what's your favorite novel?

This cool weather cake has colourful fall leaves, birch bark done in buttercream, a comfy plaid blanket and a few fishing flies. What's your favorite fall pastime?

A few pictures of the wedding show today @batesbarn. Trying to decide on a setup. We went with picture display off the table.

Last November I was at Cake International in England, the biggest cake industry tradeshow in the world. This November I'm doing a wedding show in a barn. Strange times indeed... All kidding aside, Bates Barn is a beautiful venue with a spectacular view. The show is Sunday, Nov 8, come out for a drive.

How gorgeous is this?!?! I am a fan of pink so I totally enjoyed making this two tier baby shower cake. I love everything about it, the delicate sugar flowers, the soft buttercream finish, even the pearls.

These are two recent wedding cakes showing the different bark styles available. One a birch bark style and one more of a pine tree bark. Both gorgeous and woodsy, but unique. Which one would you like at your event? (Note: the dark one is done with my custom chocolate fondant, tastes like a fudge-y tootsie roll.) Also revealing my 2 new rustic wood slab cake stands: ta da! #weddingplanning #fondant #moderncakes #bride #weddingsatlantic #weddingcake #weddingmagazine... #saintjohnnb #cake #wedding #eastcoastwedding #cakestagram #saintawesome #discoversaintjohn #uptownsj #atlanticcanada #saintjohnnb #wecelebratecakes #cakeart #cakesofinstagram #customcakes #designercakes See more
