Calasana Yoga

I have big news to share on this glorious Canada Day in my favourite country in the world! I moved to Spain in 2015 in search of adventure, a new career and love. My gypsy soul was rewarded all I dreamed of and more during my first year there. But the second year? Not so much. Everything fell apart and I fought to regain the beauty. I battled with injuries, callous employers, cutthroat acquaintances, a failed relationship and ultimately, a very broken heart. Instead of toughi...ng it out and trying to make it work, I said NO. And I came home last June. I was embraced and uplifted by my family, longtime friends, journalism colleagues and the yoga community. Slowly, day by day, I healed my broken spirit. Studying yoga helped tremendously. I was in awe of the opportunities in Saskatchewan that came my way. One of those opportunities is launching today. In the spring of 2020, I'll publish my first book with TouchWood Editions about a deeply ingrained passion of mine: connecting people to where their food comes from. I'm taking off soon with my photographer Richard Marjan on an epic prairie road trip to discover the best food this province has to offer so I can tell Sask's food artisans' stories - and promote this flat out gorgeous province I am so grateful to be able to call home.
