Update on Yellowhead Construction =) 123 Avenue Construction (156 Street to 142 Street)... Traffic Impact Update As part of the 123 Avenue roadway rehabilitation project, changes to traffic patterns within the project area will be implemented between 156 Street and 142 Street. As work between 149 Street and 142 Street progresses from the south side of 123 Avenue to the north side, the existing eastbound lane closure will be switched to the westbound lane. Starting Monday June 15, 2020, traffic on 123 Avenue between 149 Street and 142 Street will be maintained in the eastbound direction only. To safely accommodate traffic through the construction area, 123 Avenue will be further reduced to one direction between 154 Street and 149 Street starting Monday, June 15, 2020. Traffic will be maintained in the westbound direction only. If you have special access requirements, such as DATS, please advise the project manager listed below. We appreciate your patience during construction.

Another Calderite has come up with the similar idea called ""Fairy Baskets." If you don't belong to Next Door, join and check her idea out, too.
Hello all you Calderites! I am presenting a positive note about THIS crazy new-normal of COVID-19. I live across from St. Edmund/Calder Park and have been living in this home since 1999. I am loving so much activity. People are obviously feeling locked down in their homes and Spring has sprung!... There are kites flying, young couples with strollers, a father teaching his young daughter how to bike in circles, on the grass and then onto the sidewalk and him screaming good job, a daughter/grand daughter walking with the Grandma in a wheelchair, a neighbour I haven’t seen in years on a scooter, teenage boys throwing footballs, people jogging, more bike riders than I have ever seen and Calderites sitting on the park benches enjoying each other’s company. Yet, with all this activity, residents are respecting each other, socially distancing and appreciating Calder. A reminder that some local businesses are open, so please support them. CALDER
