That dripping faucet could be wasting more water that you think, here is a little bit of free info, maybe it’s time to get it fixed for the sake of your wallet and the environment
How’s your furnace running? With temperatures set to dip down to -18 next week its probably time to give your furnace a little mid season TLC, Here are a few things to check that will help you get your furnace ready for the colder weather.... -Clean filters and ducts, Dirt and dust build up can be a problem. Some areas that you should be checking each year are the filters, ducts, and other airflow parts of the furnace to make sure they are free of debris and able to do their job. -Switch out old filters for new filters. Depending on your medical conditions, household size, and pets, We recommend changing out filters every two to three months. If you have respiratory problems such as asthma, you may want to change the filter out more frequently to prevent the buildup of pollutants that aggravate your condition. -Make sure the thermostat is working optimally, check the batteries, Turn it on and see how the furnace works. Does it make a noise that you’ve never heard before? Is there a smell coming from your heating vents? -Look for drafty areas in the home. Look for areas in the home where heat escapes. The cracks under doors and windows are two places to look carefully at. If you do have drafty areas in your home, now is the time to take care of them as it will help improve the energy efficiency inside the home. -Replace batteries and test carbon monoxide detectors. Test the device, Add fresh batteries to each CO alarm to make sure that it is working properly. -Note any problems that you find by taking a quick video of the issue on your smart phone Write down the specifics including the date and source of the issue. You can pass this information on to us when we come to repair your furnace. -Be sure to remove any items stored near your furnace. Keep the area around your furnace clear of storage items, trash, and other items that could be fire hazards. Be sure to make sure air ducts and vents are not blocked. -inspect out side exhaust vents, check for ice build up or obstructions, an icicle may build up directly below the exhaust vent and need cleared to prevent blockage. -Schedule for a seasonal tune-up. We recommend a furnace service once a year. The fall is the perfect time to be sure your system is ready for the weather change. -If you have an older system, now is a good time to possibly look at replacement. If you start to have issues and need to spend upwards of $1000 to do repairs on your existing unit it maybe more cost effective to consider a full replacement Do your best to prepare your furnace for colder weather, When the temperatures begin to drop, you’ll be glad that your furnace is ready to keep you cozy and warm.

Are you having hot water issues? During these unprecedented times with every one spending a lot more time at home and as cabin fever sets in We are noticing those little things that never bothered us before, ... More than usual this year we have been changing a lot of water heaters, Here’s a short little education on water heaters, The average lifespan of a water heater is 8-10 years, and if you are nearing that time period, you may be wondering when your tank will need to be replaced. Living with this possibility hanging over your head can be stressful if you’re not prepared. If you answer an honest No to at least one of the following, it’s time to think about shopping for a new water heater. Have you ever switched the anodes in your tank? Have you performed regular maintenance on your tank? Do you make efforts to keep the temperature low on the tank and turn it to the Vacation setting when you go away for longer than a weekend? Do you have a small family or does your household generally not demand much of your water heater? If you have never done any of these maintenance tasks and your tank is more than eight years old, you may want to consider a replacement. It is far better to replace the tank than to wait for it to fail! A scheduled replacement will likely be less expensive and is definitely less stressful. We are always happy to discuss different water heating options including tankless on-demand systems. This is a good time to start thinking about it, as hot water tank failures are more likely to occur in cold weather.
Just a little reminder to everyone to replace your furnace filters, avoid Costly break downs and the inconvenience of no heat
Look at who I met on my travels this week I love meeting cute little guys like this, Soon to be a big 120lbs guy

Using Silicone to join ABS pipe instead of ABS glue? What is this monstrosity I see before me? #plumbingfails
The last thing you want is your toilet backing up on you. And the last thing you should use to fix it is duct tape. I know what you’re thinkingduct tape FIXES EVERYTHING. But I have to burst your bubble therewhich is way better than bursting your toilet. Click >>> 'Watch More'
